...wounds...
So the address for my blog is saltinthosewounds.
That is a line from a poem I wrote, I figured maybe I should post it for those of you who have not read it. The poem is called Damn You.
I love that I wrote a poem with this title and made it almost completely serious.
The first stanza was inspired by Lemon Demon and the wonderful video Word Disassociation: http://www.albinoblacksheep.com/audio/word
This poem is NOT based on actual events, I dont know how I thought this up.
I turn around and I am free
To stare at
Your never
Undressing, never
Unsure, never quite
Ugly sneer.
I wonder if you Like it
Or if it
Likes you.
As I stare
Your way
I wonder why
You make me so angry
And why that feels so good.
Of course,
My anger is never anything
Less than
Exquisite.
Somehow I always manage
To turn away before
My head falls along with my heart.
You’re are
Completely,
Willingly,
Deceiving.
Don’t you understand
I’ve been living in hell?
You could be too
…it is surprisingly easy
To arrange.
Damning you
Should have been hard
But it turns out you did not
Need my assistance.
Everyone has their secrets.
Damn you
Throwing away a beautiful soul
So willingly for a
Handsome prince.
Call upon your
Guardian angel
And please tell him
ThanksFrom me.
I was saved as he
Damned you.
Both in
One foul…touch…suck?
Killing two birds with one stone
…Has never been such fun.
So come and take me!
What’s the matter baby?
Your soul is fucked anyways
Let me rub some…
…Salt
In those wounds.
My finger tips are burnt
Too many matches left
Alight to long.
Your eyes are red
Too many nights left
Alone, hating who you are.
Now tell me honey,
Who’s more messed up?
I’ve never been one
To deny
What I am.
I don’t need
To know
Who you are.
You already hate you
Why add me to the list?
Just get this over with
So I can remember that
I’ve forgotten your name.
Don’t kiss me
Just stick your tongue
Down my throat.
I’ll call it
Harassment. And
We’ll call it
A day.
Again.
